An important company in the precision mechanics sector needed to find a way to valorize a waste that the company believed could receive new life in other production activities. Quantity of residue and disposal costs were particularly important for the quantities generated and for the increase every year of the prices of disposal of 35%. These costs included both direct costs for disposal and transport with authorized carriers and for the bureaucratic and administrative management of operations. Overhead costs for the company were calculated at over 100,000 Euros.
The research and operational consulting conducted by Sfridoo® differs from the classic environmental consulting, opting to manage the residue as a by-product and following the strictest standards required by law, the material was purchased from companies in the counterweight sector of elevators, as it is a product with characteristics similar to the raw material usually purchased by companies in the supply chain. The client company has thus obtained, after a good negotiation, a total saving on disposal costs and a further gain for the sale.
What’s the result?
The company was able to turn a pure cost into a net gain. By zeroing out expenses and selling the product
The company, relying on Sfridoo® has obtained: analysis, evaluations, surveys, recalls and research of interested companies
Multinational company in the IT sector in the Bologna area, has appointed Sfridoo® to sort all its assets and leftover stock no longer used but stored in optimal conditions for remarketing. All this for an amount of about +500 assets including desks, chairs, screens, cabinets, shelving, etc. … that have been inventoried according to the standards of the second-hand market.
What’s the result
The inventory and the following evaluation phase allowed the company to receive a targeted quotation on the assets, zeroing the costs of warehouse management, freeing up useful space and leaving it available for assets more inherent to the company’s core-business.
The operation has generated savings for the company, both in economic terms and in terms of environmental impact, allowing it to make its business even more profitable, with an eye to having avoided the landfill of new objects that are still reusable.
The project entrusted to Sfridoo® involved the valorization of a particular waste of the production process of organic nature. The aim of the company was to verify the possibility of valorization of this waste, evaluating the market and proceeding with the sale of the residue. During the valorization project, Sfridoo has provided in the initial phase of chemical and market analysis, as well as investigating the different product chains to identify a number of companies ready to purchase the waste as raw material. Once the correct commercial partner was identified, Sfridoo® managed the whole pilot phase of the initiative, both from a logistical point of view and in terms of identifying the correct way to ship the waste, supporting the company in the preparation of all the documentation required by the regulations (D.M. 264/16 – art.184 bis TUA D.Lgs. 152/06). Finally, the company was issued with a specification for the correct management of the residue.
What’s the result?
Thanks to the complete valorisation service, the company has optimised its production process in addition to cutting all disposal, administrative and waste management costs (registers, forms and MUDs are no longer required for the residue under analysis).
The difference between costs and revenues of the operation has allowed the company to generate an overall saving of 101%, making its business even more profitable and obtaining a new raw material for other processes instead of taking it to destruction.
Sfridoo® for an important company operating in the food sector, has identified a way to valorize a waste that the company believed to be a strong inefficiency of its process. The cost of disposal was, in this case, particularly important due to the quantities generated and the increase in disposal prices each year. General costs for the company were calculated to be over 100,000 Euros every year, with a strong impact on the company management. The operation and research of Sfridoo® led the company to sell its production residue in an unexplored sector. Being a product with similar characteristics to the raw material usually purchased by the companies of the supply chain, the client company has thus obtained, after a good negotiation, a total reduction of disposal costs and a gain for the sale.
What’s the result?
The Client was able to turn a pure cost into a net gain. Zeroing the 100.000 Euro of expenses and selling the product
The Customer, entrusting Sfridoo with the complete project, found himself with: collection, analysis, evaluations, surveys, research of interested companies and delivery, ready and operational.
